rps Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Branson? You mean the English millionaire? They named a town after him in Missouri? Why?
Trav Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Branson? You mean the English millionaire? They named a town after him in Missouri? Why? Doesn't he own Virgin Records?....Hmmmmmmm.... "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
Don Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Molly Hatchet is going to be at the fair in Springfield. But since I'm scared of carneys, I'm not going. I'm taking a few of us to see Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker, and Atlanta Rhythm Section next Friday. Hatchet's lead singer and one of their lead guitarists have since passed on. I saw them in the early 1980's, good show then. Caldwell brothers from Marshall Tucker have since passed. I know they are not in their prime but I just enjoy that southern syle of music. Don May I caught you a delicious bass.

Marshall Tucker Band was fantastic in their prime...incredible instrumentalists and quality lyrics to boot. For you, Don.

Gatorjet Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Nelly is not changing the demographics of Branson. No one is talking about Nelly getting a theater. . At some point Branson is going to price itself out of business. Certainly not, but the question is does this mark a change in the direction of entertainment in Branson? Price it's self out of business? Try anything with the name Disney attached, Try the Wisconsin Dells. Branson is still a good value vacation destination. Real men go propless!
Don Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Holy cow, where have you been? Thought we were going to tie some flies and empty some bottles. I know. There's no need to wait until New Years day. I finally caught fish this month, twice at Taney. Those were the first fish I have caught since March. That is the longest dry spell I've had in 6 years. I usually get shaken up and out of sync if I go longer than two weeks without anything on the end of the line. It's been busy and hectic this year, kids, parents, chores, generation, but I am finally settling back into a pattern. We need to find a good day on the calendar to set up a "tying clinic" one evening. PM me with some convenient days if you want. I need to relearn to tie Amy's Ant. It is a good terrestrial for trout and by the looks of things it is probably a good topwater bug for smallies. Don May I caught you a delicious bass.
Quillback Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 ZZ Top would be good, if they stuck to their early stuff. Towards the end they went kind of quasi-disco. But their early stuff was good. Greg Allman is still stmping aroud I believe also. I wonder if Neil Young is still playing, that guy has done so much stuff he could play for hours. The Outlaws did some good stuff, I wonder if they are still around?
