I don't have any or never used one but I saw Cabela's have them marked down to half price from $150 to $74.99. I just thought I would pass on the info.

Where did you see this? The bargain cave is showing $149 clearance on the website.

Anyone have any experience with these?

You don't need one. Learn how to use those electronics then show me.

Looks like they are 89.99 in the Bargain Cave. Tackle Warehouse also has them on sale for a little less. (free shipping at TW on orders over $50). Don't have one myself, but you can get some opinions if you do a search on e21 Carrot Stix. They must be coming out with a new model as these rods are on sale at quite a few places.

Supposedly Boyd Duckett helped start Carrot Stix then left them (E-21) to start his own company, saying they fudged on quality once the rods became popular. His company is now making those Micro Magic white rods that you see a lot of the tour guys using.

I just bought one from Tackle warehouse for $79 plus shipping. To tell the truth I think that this is a fine rod and even if they are going under I dont know if that would have changed my mind...if you follow a Dave Ramsey philosophy that is the best time to buy.

But then I am wired a little different when it come to this stuff......
