flytyer57 Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 I am sure there are lots of places. But as I pointed out in my reasons for having it here, do you know of any places that can accomodate all of my points? And the more I think about it, I think we need to keep it in the same spot every year. Much like the big shindig they have every new years at Taney. Nobody complains about that??????? I was thinking Finley would be closer but I don't know about any of the accesses. When you say you'd like to keep it at Shoal every time, that makes sense. So I guess Shoal it is. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
flytyer57 Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Sorry Chief, that was meant as a dig on flytyer. Since he has a such a long drive SIO3 Wouldn't be as long as your drive. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
drew03cmc Posted September 16, 2010 Posted September 16, 2010 Hey bud, you know us KC guys don't mind driving for river smallmouth, cause' there sure as heck ain't none up here!I'm just sorry I'll have to miss this one...wanted to see Wheatie, Don, CBC, Wiley, Jeremy, and Stinger (my partner on the spring float) and all the others. Looking forward to fishing with Chief, Dylan, and Drew later in October on the Little Niangua. KC KC, I, too am psyched about the Little Niangua trip. We will talk more about it after your vacation. Andy
Members markw Posted September 17, 2010 Members Posted September 17, 2010 I'll be there - does'nt matter which section of shoal. I've floated both several times and most of the time never see anyone.
fishinSWMO Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I will try and be there, have to check if I can get the day off work. KC, Im sorry you wont be able to make it down for the float. Ollie, Shoal is not all that bad, just think of it as a fishing challenge. And like Chief said, its more about the people and food. Jeremy Dodson
Chief Grey Bear Posted September 18, 2010 Author Posted September 18, 2010 I really hope you can make it Fishin' I don't see anyone having a big problem with this being on Sunday. This will be the only Sunday float we have. And like I said, I only picked it because the date would be 10-10-10. I can't remember the dates of our other floats but, I will remember this one for sure. We just have about 3 weeks until the float so I will start a post for all to sign up on. Be sure to watch and sign in. I like to get this list started so we can finds seats for those that want to come but may not have a canoe, yak, tube, large hunk of foam, or what have you. ***EDIT**** I just looked at the calander and we could do a 12-12-12 float as a special "Last time this Century". But it too is on a Sunday. I just thought I would toss that out there as seed to be planted in your mind. I'll wait until November to post about it and see what kind of response there is. grizwilson Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I will try to make it, but will depend on what time the Missouri-Colorado Game is on 10/9 if I can make it or not. “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
