I just know I'm never going to fish in a way that requires me to throw rocks in order to scare fish- Personally I get a little more pleasure out of trying not to scare fish. Any fishing technique that requires you to throw rocks just seems like a deeply disruptive and disrespectful method, both to the river and the those who fish it.

If you can snag them without the help of throwing rocks, then you might have something.

Well, I don't recall reading in the Wildlife Code book, that grabbers are REQUIRED to throw rocks. But you just keep looking down your nose at them. We all wish we were as refined as you are.

And the next time I see some kids skipping rocks or just having fun throwing them in the creek, I'll be sure to let them know how disruptive and disrespectful they are being to the river. And that is no twist, just your words.

darn.

Don't I get at least one point for keeping my avatar despite heavy criticism?

I think I'm gonna let this one go for now. I got to pack up for a backpacking/fishing trip I'm leaving on in the morning, and I think I've gotten all the fun there is to be had out of this one anyway. I'm low on flies and I have to tie a couple up real quick.........

Where ya fishing?

I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted.

Big Piney

If the backpacking trip takes a shorter amount of time than I'm expecting, then I may make it down to the Current. The original plan was to do the "right" thing and leave on Saturday, but if one doesn't skip out to go fishing once in a while then he ain't living right...

Gavin & CWF, I'm thinking the Beaver hole camp would be a good place to set camp, then do some grabbing from that low bluff. Tons of suckers there as I recall.

I have found this entire thread both entertaining and hilarious, especially the "holier than thou" attitudes of some, as if they are the righteous outdoorsmen and all who don't heed to their code of ethics are an abomination to Mother Nature. As long as people are following the law, they have as much right to enjoy the outdoors in the manner they see fit, as any of you self righteous bags of hot air. :dignose:

Most of you remind me of the country club snobs who look down on me when I walk in with dirty tennis shoes, shorts, T shirt, and old persimmon golf clubs, when I could kick the dog snot out of most of them on the golf course. :woohehe:
