Gone Fishing Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Now that I look at it I also notice you are holding the fish with your left hand in every photo taken. Whats up with that.
Tfsh4bass Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 Now that I look at it I also notice you are holding the fish with your left hand in every photo taken. Whats up with that. I am pretty sneaky...just caught 1 brownie 3 weeks ago and kept him in the livewell taking pics in different coves all day just so I could impress the peanut gallery
Tfsh4bass Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 The wind may blow, but no worries — it's for money. http://winterbassseries.com/ Man that is REALLY tempting to go down and fish against 10 boats... I am thinking about doing the AIA solo next year though so maybe you will get your chance then. Wind doesn't really bother me much and come to think of it I believe it was windy when I won the Heartland Pro Am at Bull Shoals back when I was all serious about this fishing stuff. I am just a poor little non-tournament fisherman now who still fishes around 70 days per year and doesn't have jack to prove to you or anyone else.
redbud Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Thanks for the report.Same thing for us except for one that was a legitimate lunker on a wart way back in a main lake gravel pocket. Here are some smb. pics I dug up First 4 are table rock fish 5 is a NY fish.6 is a local creek bass post some pics of smallie here I'd like to see them.
Sprint21fter Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Sounds like Channel Catfish is mad becasue he can't catch good fish. Each fish is different looking. Go catch your own fish and take a picture with a camera phone and see what they look like. Lastly, grow up.
gitnby Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Am I missing something here? I did not perceive that Champ188 was accusing Tfish4bass of taking pictures of the same fish? I have caught smallies on this lake for many, many years and I never noticed the white mark either. As far as I can see, Champ188 has always been a respectful poster on here. Sprint21fter is only adding to the confusion. Please figure this out, guys! We don't need this kind of stuff.
Tfsh4bass Posted November 23, 2010 Author Posted November 23, 2010 Am I missing something here? I did not perceive that Champ188 was accusing Tfish4bass of taking pictures of the same fish? Based on these quotes I would say that is exactly what he was doing. Pretty stupid accusation considering the fish are obviously different and I have absolutely nothing to gain from it...not like I am trying to get a guide trip booked or anything. It is the reason I don't really post that much and truth be told I posted a little more lately just to ruffle their feathers. Not really that worried about it either way and I am easy to find if someone really has something to say to me. Can't hold a candle to what a couple have been reporting, but considering that the top guides and derby fishermen on the lake are struggling mightily Would have fished the rock, but there are no fish left in the dam area Maybe some of 'em will escape the onslaught and make it up the river. They aren't nearly as apt to get caught up there by us hacks

Posting more just to ruffle their feathers ? Why would that ruffel anyones feathers ? I think your reading more into it than it is . Glad to see you have a good bite going. I hope I can get em going like that. Someones always on fish when the rest cant hardly get bit . Maybe we can hook up sometime in the Indians and catch a few. You really ought to give that winter series a whirl, its alot of fun and unlike most bigger tournaments where you just have to beat 10 or 15 of the guys this one you have to beat all of them. Its a tough crowd. I like you gave up tournament fishing for 10 years and just now dabbeling in it again. See ya on the water ! Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. Champ188 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 OK T, since you admitted to wanting to ruffle feathers, I'm gonna have my say here and be done. 1. Fact: Fishing has been tough lately for everyone including the likes of Beck, Babler, the Davis brothers and the Fann brothers. Opinion: I'm at least slightly suspicious that only you are waylaying them in the shallows every time out. You aren't the only talented shallow-water angler on the lake. As you repeatedly stated, you aren't required to prove anything but likewise, I'm entitled to my opinion. 2. I suppose I lean toward the modest side, but I can't recall anyone here posting pic after pic of average-sized fish. Lots of us catch our fair share of fish. Donna and I have managed to beat out five-fish tournament limits two out of our last three trips, even tough as it has been. I post results of most of my trips here in hopes of helping others. If I catch em, I say so graciously. If I don't, I say so. Far as I can recall, I've only posted one pic since joining this site several years ago and that was a couple weeks ago because the fish was a rather large meanmouth. 3. The comment about "no fish left in the dam area" was not mine, but denjac's. Rest assured, I'm not the only one here suspicious. That's my 2 cents' worth and the last I have to say on this subject.

Someone is always on fish especially when you can go 2-3 times per week and that is my problem with the assumption. It is pretty arrogant to assume just because you don't catch them someone else didn't...it is different every single day, time of day and even different on various parts of the lake. I know the Winter Series is a bunch of sticks and I have thought about it but don't really have a reliable partner. I might start fishing serious again next year but I am having fun right now getting to fish longer and spending less money.
