Maybe it's a case of you get what you pay for, but instead of shotty products you get crappy service. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it is who you think it is...and if it is, there was substantial evidence that extremely slow service and sporadic communication were already a problem when Njardar placed his order. Maybe he didn't see the threads? And from what I've been told privately, the products are a mixed bag, ranging from "you get what you pay for" to "not bad for the price," depending on the item. I've seen the good reviews, but it seems those who have been disappointed have refrained from commenting publicly, I suppose out of politeness...so there it is. Well, when you accept payment for something and don't deliver it, you're in a whole different place than poor customer service. Definitely.

This is definitely disappointing to hear to say the least. I will soon be in the market for a new reel for my 7/8wt (and possibly my 4wt as well) with spare spools and additional lines and I was looking forward to buying them from you know who if you know who ran another good special. I completely agree. I have an invoice to pay for something that I am interested in purchasing. Is it from Allen's Fly Fishing? If so, I might have some second thoughts about spending my money. I have not been around the forums all to long so if I am way off base, please excuse me. -Side note: I am not accusing anyone, only asking a question.

Njardar Posted February 2, 2011 Author Posted February 2, 2011 The company is Allen Fly Fishing and the offer was his 1500 hooks and a 3/4 or 5/6 fly reel for $75 offer. Let me say I'm not encouraging anyone to cancel any orders with Justin, or avoid his business; he does have some very nice products. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that there are probably valid reasons for not responding, but when there is a total lack of communication it is hard to remain positive. I did receive the reel and I am very pleased with it, so much so that I placed and order for a second spool, but I have not heard anything back on that order. As for the hooks, I received 850 of the 1500 and have not heard anything about the remainder. Granted this was a great deal, but I have to assume Justin would not have made if he was going to lose money, but that is his business. - Charlie
