snagged in outlet 3
I wasn't sure Justin guided. If so I would go with him. He contributes more here than the others. SIO3

Trout Commander
Justin and his wife are good people. I am looking forward to using their services this summer. Not to be argumentative here, but GREAT people. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. TroutRinger
I am aware of what river it is but I guess big water wasn't a good phrase. The streams I have fished (Maramec Springs, Bennett, Montauk, and Taney) only offer a total of a few miles of wadeable stream and I have been limited to that space. Justin Spencer
I don't guide, but am more than willing to share tips and even splash around in front of the campground with people if time permits. You can't go wrong with Kyle or Brian if you don't like those guys I don't like you. They both have been around the river longer than I have and can help anyone catch fish! Can't recommend guides, but you're right. The trout parks are an entirely different beast than a "big" wild trout river like the North Fork, and I'd definitely recommend going with a guide (or at least someone who's familiar with the fishery) if you want to be successful your first time out. Good luck! <{{{><

Brian Wise
I really hate even commenting here..... Kyle runs a seriously cool jon boat and I have guided with him for a long time now, not to mention he is a great friend of mine (we fished together Monday) Justin and Amy are probably cooler than Kyle and I put together. But what 'I' would recommend is use your guide (whomever it may be) fully. If you want to learn more about fly fishing THIS is a great chance and use your guide as an instructor, a good guide can take years off of your learning curve and send you on your way after the day is over feeling more confident in your abilities. Have fun! With this rain the water levels are looking better and better. Brian My Youtube Channel
Zack Hoyt
Brian and Kyle are both top notch guide for sure. You will be extremely pleased with either. I echo Brian's thoughts. An afternoon with a guide can do wonders for even the most experienced fisherman. I am very partial to the drift boats that Brian guides out of, but the longboats Kyle has are very unique. Best bet would be to use both and have one helluva great couple days. Enjoy the NFOW.......it is truly like nothing else in the area. Justin Spencer
Water is finally back to normal level with more rain forecast for Sunday. Once the water gets up (expecially above 800 cfs) it is almost a requirement to have a boat that can be fished from. You can still find some wadeable water, but most people aren't used to wading the big flows of the NFoW and the bigger it gets the better caster and mender you must be (gets tough because you also are throwing lots of lead). Justin and Amy are probably cooler than Kyle and I put together. Not as cool sitting here in my bathrobe and fuzzy slippers. Definitely not cool that day a few fly fishermen showed up early and I was wearing Amy's hot pink bathrobe and stood on the deck talking to them for a while. Can't remember for sure who it was but I'm sure they'll let us know if they are on the forum (which I think they are). If you use Brian or Kyle hopefully you will take out here (love to meet you guys), plus all the big fish live here since I feed them everyday (not really) although it has been suggested.
