jdmidwest Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Bought my new permit the other day at Wally World, it is still on the yellow paper. Bad news is that it takes up the whole paper including the tear off portion for the transport tag for deer and turkey. Since I always remove the backing and fold it up, I am afraid pertinent information may be lost after some wear in the old wallet. The transport section may tear off. Good news is the E permit is the same size and will fold and fit nicely in the sleeves like ole yellow did. drew03cmc Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I HATE mine. I peeled it off and folded it over, but it looks like my four year old did it. There are creases and wrinkles all over the darn thing. Andy

Members drath Posted March 18, 2011 Members Posted March 18, 2011 I bought and printed mine on line. They couldn’t have made the online purchase any easier if you ask me. -D

Members JimG Posted March 21, 2011 Members Posted March 21, 2011 So if this change is saving MDC money, why the $1 "Internet Convenience Fee"? To me it's a wash, I liked the durability of the old yellow tags, but I also like the convenience of buying on line and printing the tag. I know it's just a dollar, but it really gets under my skin. They made this change for their own advantage, but yet we have to pay for it.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 21, 2011 Posted March 21, 2011 Bought mine online and then sealed it in clear packing tape on both sides. Worked great and I didn't have to got to Walmarks. Pete
stlfisher Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Mine is still on the yellow paper. I like them as is, but sounds like a change is coming depending on how you purchase them.

Usually it is between 2 and 3 percent of the price being charged.
