dtrs5kprs Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Am not seeing any comments on snot so far this year. Is it absent, or did we just get used to it? Maybe the prolonged low pool level? Would like to see clean rig sinkers and shakeys this spring, but would also like the lake at 917 or so. Wish in one hand I suppose...
techo Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 We haven't seen any yet, but I think it is early. Hoping we can do without it this year. Tim Carpenter
edwin Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Haven't found any either "Advantages are taken, not handed out"
Members Skeeter007 Posted March 20, 2011 Members Posted March 20, 2011 I hit a pretty good wad of it on the west side of the swim beach cove at Mill Creek. Thats the only place I have seen it, but no where near as bad as last year.

I've been running into it here and there for a couple weeks now.On the bottom and in the timber.I hope I'm wrong but I have a feeling its gonna get bad. Jamie
Donna G Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 Man, I hope not. I hate that stuff. We haven't seen any, but have fished primarily up the river arms lately. Trav Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 we can slow down the snot if we had less pollution from septics pouring into the lake.... "May success follow your every cast." - Trav P. Johnson
skeeter Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 we can slow down the snot if we had less pollution from septics pouring into the lake.... Yeah, and "pouring" phosphorus and fecal bacteria down the rivers and creeks from inadequate sewage treatment plants from Cities, chicken farms, cattle pastures and small towns. What River/creek does Buffalo, MO drain it's sewage into ?
