Guest Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Rapala is in my dry box. Only thing I have noticed is its ability to eat batteries even if you manually power off. Might just be the one I have. Bingo!! I have to remove the wiring harness from the battery whenever I'm not fishing. They're accurate, but the one I have been readin in metric...
Gilly Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 "They're accurate, but the one I have been readin in metric..." That's going to dramatically affect the keeper count... www.drydock516.com www.drydock516.com
Bird Watcher Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 Bingo!! I have to remove the wiring harness from the battery whenever I'm not fishing. They're accurate, but the one I have been readin in metric... Somehow I did that to mine a couple years ago, or rather, I think my dearly beloved did that to mine. I was able to get it out of that mode by pushing both buttons at once a couple or three times.
Stump bumper Posted March 30, 2011 Posted March 30, 2011 I like the old fashion spring scales, I carry a 15lb and a 50lb and have always had good weights on fish and bags of fish when the batteries were dead on buddy's scales and have loaned to countless boats on the lake when thier digitals don't work. The 50lb scale I carry is 10 years old, has a hole in the face from heat damage but still right on the mark. I might be guessing at ounces, but I have a good idea no matter how long it has been since I saw the scale. Not to take away from the new scales, but I would keep a good spring scale in the boat first and go digatal second.
