ozark trout fisher
My bucket list is long, but here is part of it. 1. Alaska, fishing the Klutina and other rivers for salmon. Those were the waters that my father spent most of his life fishing and I have heard so much about them, but never gotten a chance to fish. 2. Wilderness fishing for cutthroat on Montana's South Fork of the Flathead 3. Henry's Fork in Idaho 4. Brook trout in Labrador 5. Catch a 20" brown on a #24 or smaller dry fly here in Missouri 6. Yellowstone River during Hopper season 7. Lower Madison in the fall (streamer fishing for big browns) 8. Fluvial Grayling on the Big Hole River (I have fished in Big Hole country before, but I never did go to the reaches where the grayling were. I realize they are few and far between on that river, all the more reason it would be awesome to catch one.) 9. Ausable in Michigan during the Hex hatch 10. Hit a Montana River during the peak of the Salmonfly hatch

Members Flyfisher78
Mine would have to include wilk brookies in the small streams of the Appalachian Mtns. So you have a love affair with wild brookies! Mine started when I was old enough to hold an alder pole and bait a #6 hook with garden hackle. I fished the streams of northern PA and although there were no tackle busters, they were plentiful. IMHO there is no more beautiful fish that swims; especially when they are sporting their fall spawning colors. I have always wanted to go up to Labrador and fish for those giant brookies but now as I approach the tender age of 83 it's never going to happen. Thank whomsoever, brookies are still available on the North Fork, a 20 minute drive from my riverside domicile on the White. Take care Dano; we both have a lot of fishing to do. jdmidwest
Alaska Backpack trip to a grayling, salmon, trout stream along the Alaska Railway System for a few days, hop off train, get back on, then a few more weeks on the rail system in Alaska. Alaska Ferry trip along the southern coastal towns around Juneau and Haines, stopping and fishing, something planned with a friend and never followed thru. Fish the Catskills and tour the Orvis Facilities. Fish Colorado, Yellowstone, Upper Missouri, all on the same road trip. Catch a grayling. Catch a Fresh King Salmon. Catch a Peacock Bass. Fish the Great Lakes Tributaries for Salmon and Trout. Live long enough to pass my outdoors skills along to my grandchildren so they can enjoy life as I have. Ham
Kel guided on the Guadaloupe, Blanco, Llano, and San Marcos that I know about. He's done the Devil's, but I don't know that he guided on it. There's fishing to be had in Louisiana right now. Kayak Redfish would be NO problem. Yellowstone Cutts then. That'll be just fine with me. Like them a bunch too. Mitch f
Ham, worthy list...I've done some of them. Just one point of fact...Yellowstone would be Yellowstone cutthroats, not brook trout. If you ever get a trip planned to the Devils River, I'm in. I have had a goal of many years to fish at least one premier river in each state. I've done rivers in more than 30 states so far. Some I still want to do: Black River in Arizona--smallmouth fishing on the Apache Indian reservation. Missouri River in South Dakota below one of the dams--mostly unfished for smallies. Niobrara River, Nebraska--not even sure what I can catch there but it's about the only river in Nebraska worth floating. I haven't figured out a good river in Kansas yet! Devils River, Texas--see above. Would also like to fish whatever river it was that was Kelly Watson's home river with Guadalupe bass and hybrids as well as smallies. Menominee River, Wisconsin--big smallies. Big South Fork, Tennessee Chattooga River, Georgia--just to say I did it. Atchafalaya River, LA--before the Mississippi finally takes it over. And other than that, peacock bass in the Amazon! I can set you up on the Menominee "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Members bsteele02
1. Marlin fishing charter. I wanna fight one of those bad boys. 2. General deep sea fishing charter after anything that swims in the ocean. Shark or Goliath Grouper would be awesome. 3. Musky and Walleye fishing somewhere up north. Steelhead works too. 4. Smallmouth bass fishing. Never been anywhere that has em. I hear they are fun to catch. 5. Catch a largemouth over 5lbs. 6. Take a trophy flathead. The one thing I did complete on my bucket list was visit Taneycomo and catch some nice trout. I went in high school a long time ago and rented a boat and had a perfect day of catching one after another.
