drew03cmc Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 I'm truly not trying to piss you guys off (again). But to come in and make statements about it when you have no idea is really childish. Just because you don't agree with or feel the same about something doesn't mean that it's stupid. A lot of people love fishing tournaments and a lot of people love fishing rivers. That doesn't mean that one is better than the other. If you have a bad day at a Pro-Am tournament then deal with it, you should know going in that it's a possibility. I know the pros get stuck with some real idiots on occasion so it goes both ways. It really is too bad that the big names like Roland Martin act the way they do when they haven't been able to compete in years. Wouldn't be the first time you have pissed me off Ronnie. For someone making a comment about being childish, you take the cake little boy. Anyone who has as big an ax to grind as you do, has to have their panties in a wad, funny how I worded that, right? You always wish to prove other people wrong when you cannot even seem to prove yourself right. Now, when one gives their opinion, it is just that, meant to be taken with a grain of salt. Now, when Chief gave an opinion (which I agree with more than you could know) that more than a couple people on here took offense to, he defended his opinion. Is that wrong? Nope. That is the way it is supposed to work. Then people got nasty over the thought that some might not think big water fishing is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I piped up adding my opinion that competition serves to ruin something you enjoy. Was I wrong? Nope, it was my opinion. Andy

When and why did this thread go from a simple report on a TR event and some of its players to yours and Chief's opinions on everything from lake fisheries and aesthetics to competitive fishing culture? Yes, you're entitled to your opinion...how ever irrelevant and off-topic they may be. I have a feeling it's going to be a long winter <{{{><

Yes, you're entitled to your opinion...how ever irrelevant and off-topic they may be. I have a feeling it's going to be a long winter I'll quote this one before you change it again. But a simple report turned to a RM bash all to a Pro vs. Am to this is not the way I was taught to drop shot to me stating that I'll just stick to river fishing. It was the Leopard Print Ranger bashing me for saying I'll take the river over the lake. Was it wrong of me to state I'll stick with the river fishing if this is what lake fishing will do to you??? If so, I make no apologies. There was no discussion of river fishing, which is why your opinions on it are irrelevant. I don't care if you want to talk about river fishing, but it's not adding anything valuable to the discussion these guys are having. <{{{><
drew03cmc Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 What was said is that we would stick to river fishing if lake fishing drums up this much ego and bs. I guess in the world of OB, where he is god, that is irrelevant, but in truth, it is as much of an opinion as offering that rich bastard Roland Martin a Franklin for gas just because. Andy
Rodmaker Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 :serious-business: You know......there are other uses for the anchor in that boat!
Martin Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 This is just gettin' good......(NOT) ...lol.... ahhhhmmm, it really does look like a long winter. And, silly me, I like river fishing and lake fishing...and fun fishing and tournament fishing. Let me say, (it's irrelevent anyway), I have fished with many walleye pro's, and everyone of them has been a decent guy, if not a great guy. I have also........oh nevermind...lol..... For the lurkers or part-timers. If you want to learn how to fish Tablerock Lake, don't try and get alot out of fishing as a co-angler in a bass tournament. You will learn more from any of the better guides on the lake. And you'll spend far less money in the long run. At least the guide WANTS YOU to catch fish. And they're here everyday. Not for a week, once or twice a year. If you have the competition bug, go for it. It can be a very humbling experience, in more then one way. But there are way easier lakes to "have a shot at winning" then Tablerock. Well heck, there I went and posted, and I was going to stay away from this thread....lol.......I'm a glutton for punishment....lol Quick note to Techo: Do you REALLY have 2 golf clubs ? I was lying, I only have one. We might be dangerous. (to spectators)..........LOL
