I'm surprised one of you bass guys hasn't posted this...

Bass Pro paid to have brush put in the lake and they sell the lures you're losing.

Hummmmmmmm.......

So you're saying that Bass Pro helped sponsor and implement a program to plant brush piles in the lake just so they could sell lures to replace the lost ones?!? Really! That's what you're saying?!? Give me a break.

Tongue and cheek... sorry I didn't put the smiley face in the post.

I'm with bassman1308 on this ... the true benefit may be more intangible (giving the fish places to live) than tangible (giving us places to catch them). Of course, I'm primarily a river rat so I don't have much of a dog in this hunt.

Don't get me started about the reasons Bass Pro took part in this.

Do tell Bill.

Not really, but it's a funny idea. Sometimes a little self-help is called for.

I once built and operated a carwash business. When it came to planting the landscape trees around it, I chose MULBERRIES. Not fruitless mulberries, but the kind that have red berries the birds love and splatter on every parked car in the neighborhood.

:D
