Feathers and Fins Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Can I use this A rig at Roaring River? This would be great one cast almost a limit and with with the proper rod you cold cast way upstream. Just think of the fun. What about Bennet Springs? Just trying to inject humor among the stupidity. Hmmmmm.... lower Illinois 5 scuds 5 trout real fast.... switch out from scuds to hooks troll down river for stripers.... Hmmmmmm this has merit :) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Guest csfishinfool Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 I actually thought about this last night. What whould the trout guys do if you showed up with one rigged up with five lures. It's legal, which has to make it ok, right?>

Trout Commander Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 Point and laugh? Definitely. really? what is czech nymphing? i would have never guessed that this technique was used for trout NOT an Alabama rig. It is a nymphing technique that utilizes heavy flies to get to the bottom and requires to angler to drift the fly at the same speed of the current rather than the current carrying the fly. Although multiple fly rigs are often used it's not on a fixed, heavy wired umbrella rig. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. exiledguide Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Why does the Alabama Rig conjure up Jerry Clower and his nieghbors Uncle Versey and Aunt Pet Ledbetter and their boys Marcel, Raynel, ......Claude, Clovis, and Newgene........and coon huntin' with the dog Ol' Brummy and the coon huntin' monkey......Knock him out John shot this thing.....
