lol @ Wrench's "I'll take my chances.."

I can think of ZERO situations where I would end up saying "Man, it's a good thing I DIDN'T bring my firearm!"

But then again I don't tend to "take my chances" either...

Well said

So far, in 100% of my situations I could say "Once again I didn't need my firearm." :D

So, you dont wade deeper than your knees, or you keep it under your hat? Never get caught in the rain? Do you even know how to properly strip that Ruger down after a dunking? I bet if I took it apart you couldn't even put it back together.

I can think of plenty of times that I'm glad I don't have to pack a pistol. Besides I've seen you shoot when you were calm and collective....and trust me, that thing is nothing more than excess baggage on you during a time of intense nervousness.

You really don't wanna debate this topic with me in public, Crick :)

Well alrighty then, I'll just shut my lil puppy trap, pops.. lol. This seems like one of those "if I insult him enough he'll just shut up" type of strategies.. I'm disappointed, Wrench, truly..

When did you want me to take you up on that bet?

And the one time that it doesn't pan out, you won't be around to inform us.. Very convenient for your argument!

Sorry man, but Dammit! I'm just trying to make a valid point and you're acting like I'm being a foolish old fart with no street smarts.

From my viewpoint that's coming from someone who goes fishing without a reasonably well stocked flybox....but byDog he's got his firearm. Thats some crazy $#!t. No?

And don't you dare go all tender on me now, you know me better.

I would be happy to debate this further....as long as we remain respectful. Are you saying you are against me having the right to carry? Or are you just against guns all together? or is this a personal discussion with Cricket?

Not at all. I don't talk about it much but I am actually a trained and confident gunsmith and once had a FFL. I am a Sporting Arms enthusiast through and through.

I just think that most people who C&C have no business or reason for doing so. Haven't you noticed that 80% of C&C permit carriers are always ANNOUNCING IT at every given opportunity ? What's that about?

I also am mildly annoyed that the number of C&C permit owners who have been to DUI court seems to escape the news. The local bar is full of permit carriers. Why Conceal? Open carry if you think you need it, and remove it entirely when you dont. If you're afraid to go somewhere without a "weapon" then you prolly shouldn't go there.

That's all.

Stomping on the nuts from a different angle? Indeed, I don't go fishing with a fully stocked fly box... Obviously that means I am too wet behind the ears to actually know anything.. lol
