Thanks man, He's doing excellent, back to his old tricks and he only acts like it bothers him when a weather front is moving in. It's weird how that effects muscles and joints, but it does, I have a knee and shoulder that do the same thing.

You got shot in your knee and your shoulder?

I don't believe there are any magic lures, or even magic techniques. Whenever a good new one comes out, it's usually hot for a couple years, and then begins to fade. The problem is always that when it's hot, everybody fishes it, and when everybody fishes it, the fish eventually get conditioned to it. If it is really good, it becomes a time-tested part of good anglers' repertoire, but seldom reclaims the magic it had the first couple of years. I've been around long enough to have seen this happen over and over, from the Big O to Gitzits, and from buzzbaits to plastic worms in deep water. Yes, there was a time when hardly anybody knew anything about fishing deep structure, and then some tournament anglers blew everybody away by doing so, and pretty soon every tournament angler was doing it...and then some guys started blowing everybody away by fishing the shallows again...

If the records fall, you just have to aim higher in your pursuit of records. If the methods are legal, you can't fault the guys for using them.

No, I just took a potentially fatal hit in the checkbook. So now everytime I pick up a pen my arm goes numb and my knees buckle.

BWAH ha ha!!! You crack me up fella... lol

If folks want to inconvenience themselves by using multiple hooks in pursuit of record fish, then more power to 'em! I'll just sit back and laugh while they are constantly getting their fancy little rig tangled up.

Very nice bass. I think it says a lot about the guy that rather than kill the fish because of ridiculous requirements he released it. I would hope I could do the same

Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds.
