Smalliebigs Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Hey, it's sweet to see Mizzou get an SEC level recruit at the expense of the Razorbacks. The move to the SEC hopefully will start to help shut down the borders of Missouri when it comes to 5 star division one football talent. The move to the SEC is going to pay off bigtime. There is a ton of great talent Mizzou has been losing out on, they need to shut it down. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/mizzou/dorial-green-beckham-signs-with-mizzou/article_0258deea-4cd9-11e1-9a23-001a4bcf6878.html?oCampaign=email man I wish I was fishing somewhere
stlfisher Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Big pick up for Mizzou today. Offense should be fine. Still need to get a bit bigger on defense, but an exciting time to be a Mizzou fan for sure.
OzarksRiverman Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I hope he learns how to block, really, really well.
Flysmallie Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Saw him play a couple of times this year. Pretty amazing kid.
Justin Spencer Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Love to see a local kid stay close to home, great story behind this guy and I look forward to at least a couple years of watching him at Mizzou. And smallie, good wish it was beautiful on the river today! BackCastingGolfer Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 See a local kid stay close to home? Fayetteville isn't any further...and atleast he'd see some bcs play, and a possible national title...

Fayetteville isn't any further...and atleast he'd see some bcs play, and a possible national title... That is true, but he is staying true to his state, reminds me of a Beach Boys song. Don't fool yourself, neither Mizzou or Arkansas is going to see any BCS or national titile play, until some of those other schools get sanctioned. Arkansas WAS in a Bcs game two seasons ago(even though we played terribly in that game) and should have been last year, #6vs#8.
Feathers and Fins Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 This is how i look at college drafts, Many high school kids do well in High school but when they hit college something wierd happens and they cant play and even some have been injured and then others make stupid moves and keeps them from seeing game time. I do not pay attention to the hype of the draft and really it is what it is. I have seen walk ons become stars over the supposed star recruites. So untill they prove themselves in three catergories I just dont pay attention. Those three are ( conduct ) how they handle themselves off and on the field. ( Grades ) simple to understand and finally ( team play ) Will they put the team above their own ego! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
joeD Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Still, I'm glad he's going to Mizzou. Unfortunately, like Jeremy Maclin, he will not last 4 years. He's that good.
