Addicted to Creeks Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Title pretty much says it all. Whats on the fishing to-do list for this year? Mine are: 1. Become a more capable fly fisherman and tier. 2.Fish one of Missouris wild trout waters. 3.Catch a Pickeral and at least get some casts in chasing Muskies. 4. Catch a Brook trout since they are the only trout in the area I havent caught (if anyone has tips for where the best place to find one that would be great haha) Also where do brookies in the area come from? are they raised in a hatchery in state? Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. He weighed ten pounds. —Charles Dudley Warner
eric1978 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 1. Big smallmouth 2. Big browns 3. Big rainbows 4. Big hybrids 5. Big whites ...on the fly.

ozark trout fisher Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Well, mine is pretty simple...Spend as much time on beautiful Ozark streams as possible and hopefully catch a fish or two while I'm there!
Feathers and Fins Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 My goal is the same as it is always... To get a bite anything more than that is a fantastic day. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
ozarkgunner Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 1. Yellow pearch from bull shoals 2. Muskie from Pomme 3. Stripped bass from beaver or north fork Angler At Law
Mitch f Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 1. Big smallmouth 2. Big browns 3. Big rainbows 4. Big hybrids 5. Big whites ...on the fly. Eric the trophy hunter!!.... Sounds much better than Dog the bounty hunter. Same for me except for the "on the fly" part. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
laker67 Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 The only brook trout in missouri, that I am aware of,are from private streams. Although I did witness one caught at taney by Dick Garrison. A fluke I am sure, but an honest to goodness brook trout about 7 inches long. Arkansas has a growing population of them. That would be your best bet by far. If you are close to highlandville, they have a small population of brooks, maybe 6 fish total, some pushing 3 pounds.

LOL Truth be told, size doesn't really matter much to me. I mean no one likes dinks, but gimme anything over 15" and I'm a happy man. And spare me the comments...y'all know I'm talkin' about FISH.
duckydoty Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 I'd like to break the 40 inch mark on a Naknek bow this year. Other than that, spend as much time, day and night, snow, rain, sleet, thunderstorms, lightning and sunshine on the water as humanly possible....minus duck season of course. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
