mic Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I can't get into specifics because I don't want to piss off anybody. Ted at Feather Craft just gave me a very nice package of equipment, and he didn't have to. I just want to say thanks publicly, and gestures like that is why I'll be a loyal customer for quite a while.

Greasy B Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Ted is the only one I buy new rods from. Straight talk and patients. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
sms_alum Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Never had a good experience at Feather Craft, but I stopped going there about 5-6 years again. T. Hargrove is more my style of fly shop.
ness Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I've never set foot in FC or Hargrove's, but I've fished with Ted a couple times down on NFoW. Good guy John
stlfisher Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I usually go to Harvrove's and just purchased a 7 weight a few weeks ago. The customer service was great as well. The few times I have been in feathercraft this year the customer service was much better than I remembered so I will bounce back and forth at bit. Both are fine stores IMO.
