Daryk Campbell Sr Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 If you know anyone affected and they are ok and just damage have them get photo's of it for insurance claims and contact their insurance company immidiately. DO NOT sign a contract with any contractor untill the adjuster has been there. After that make sure the contractor is Licensed and Insured. I've seen to many storm chasers after storms come in and screw people over. If you are affected by this and have any questions on insurance damage and claims feel free to PM me or ask here and i will try to answer them for you. But get that claim called in TODAY. I would like to add, do your best to protect anything that has not been damaged. Such as put tarps over any holes in the roof, cover any windows, secure things that may be looted to the best of your ability. Insurance companies will not pay for "Neglect". They consider neglect to be lack of protection from the homeowner. Do not put youself in danger while trying to protect your home just the same. Your life is worth so much more than any material things. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. Wayne SW/MO Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 Lots of lower 76 is wiped out. ???????????????????? Just lots of wind and sirens here. Ironically the news last night was talking about Branson hiring early this year because of the warm winter. This isn't exactly the kind of news that will do it a lot of good. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Buzz Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 I hope everyone is alright. I'm really getting tired of these dang tornadoes. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
jdmidwest Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 We took a hit over here too last night. One started in Marquand, MO, went skipping thru Oak Ridge, MO, crossed the river and may have been the one that finally landed as an EF4 in Harrisburg, IL. I can see the storm path across the field from my house and heard the roar from it as it passed thru here about 2 tenths of a mile away. I did not have any damage, but neighbors on other side of street had roof damage, carports moved, and a trampoline carried for several hundred feet. Trees were not pushed over or damaged for the most part but pole barns and houses seemed to take the most of the damages. Barns and sheds scattered, several houses damaged, debris scatter everywhere. Several injuries here. Harrisburg IL looks kinda like Joplin did last year, deaths, destruction, injuries. Other storms hit around Puxico near Duck Creek and I think one person died in that one. Another storm is supposed to roll thru Friday. I hope this is not the start of another round like we had last Easter.
