FishinCricket Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 He probably did catch it on an A-rig - he just didn't want to let the secret out so he changed his story to the worm (manufacturer yet to be determined). Exactly!! (and the rumor builds momentum) cricket.c21.com
Quillback Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Latest rumor is that it was an A-rig rigged with 3 Mann's Jelly Worms and 2 Zoom Trick worms.
Guest Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Actually, the rumor is, that dude had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. All those interviews and photos led the cops to his hideout. He's now behind bars No joke
FishinCricket Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Actually, the rumor is, that dude had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. All those interviews and photos led the cops to his hideout. He's now behind bars No joke Surely there's some news reporting agency that has reported on this story by now? cricket.c21.com
Guest Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I'm pretty sure this just happened today. Usually, they dont report on warrants anyway. So, I doubt it goes public.
Gavin Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Mann's Jelly Worm, State Record Bass, and off to the pokey...Only in Arkansas!
Guest Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Mann's Jelly Worm, State Record Bass, and off to the pokey...Only in Arkansas! Yep, 30 minutes of glory...
Quillback Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 After now hearing the dude's a criminal, and he's told 2 versions of how he caught the bass, I'm hoping the AGFC takes a serious look at that fish to verify that it did come from that lake, he didn't find it floating and decide to tell the world he caught it, or it did not come off a trot line. This whole thing is starting to sound "fishy".
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I think the guy in the pic on top and the guy in the picture on the link are two different people. Maybe there were 2 record fish caught in neighboring lakes? Or, maybe the guy kept evading the police so they set him up on a sting operation with a trophy fish, so they could bust him. LOL Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
Guest Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I fished over there, this weekend. The place was a carnival. Exactly what I expected. bass were spawning and gurading beds. I heard a story from his co-worker that this violated his parole and they took him back. apparently, its his 3rd failed attempt to fraudulently register a state record fish.
