This afternoon I ran over to the NFOW to fish for white bass from Dawt Mill to the lake with Justin from Sunburst Ranch and his friend Brandon. Though we saw fish, the catching was lack luster. He took the fly, no snag. I got a pic with Justin holding the fish after he dragged into the boat with the fly in his mouth because we wanted proof that he ate the CP. Justin had to grab it by the tail and lift into the boat because we did not have a big enough net.

I'm still trying for my first carp on the fly. I got one on a road runner and one on a four inch grub. They seem to be a little less choosey prespawn.

Holy Carp! Did he actually chase down a CP or did you snag him? I bet that horse wore you slick on the 5 wt.

I would judge by all his crying that was all he wanted, good way to end the trip. Sloss also caught a walleye and rainbow but the 3 whites caught were all on spinning gear.
