Feathers and Fins Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 So i get home yesterday and find a STORE MAP in my mail. How nice of them to point me to the right areas to save time. To bad I will be out hunting opening weekend, but hey I figure in a few weeks after the crowds have settled down I will go check it out. But this is hunting season and with Goose, Teal then Deer season it will probably be close to October 1st before I get the chance. Priorities come first and momma wants roast goose for dinner https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Quillback Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Got the map in the mail yesterday. Lots more area devoted to clothes than to fishing stuff. Hopefully they'll cram a lot of good fishing stuff into the relatively small fishing area.
Quillback Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Got yet another flyer in the mail yesterday. They've got some good deals on handguns. I'm eyeballing the Remington 1911 45 ACP.
jeb Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Get a .40. I can reload shells for you then. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Quillback Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 I'll have to look into it. BTW for all concerned, I just ordered a case of shotgun shells from Cabelas, online. They are now charging sales tax to AR residents.
jeb Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 That does not seem right. Since the store is not open yet, they should not be charging tax. I'd call and bitch. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
kwall Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Anyone know if they gonna have a walleye section that's worth driving 2hrs to check out?
Ron Burgundy Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Kwall, I will let u know.....I'm hoping they will. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
kwall Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Thanks, I have to order all the stuff I use to build my harnesses with . It sure would be nice to swing by Cabela's on the way or from the lake
jeb Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Hard to say. In a normal sized Cabela's, I'd say it's a sure bet. They are much more of a walleye store than a bass store ordinarily. But this is a small store. And the fishing dept is run by a total bass-head. So it'll be interesting to see what they stock. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
