How Close Is Too Close

If someone comes trolling up on a spot Im fishing, I really dont have a problem with that... but if you do that, be prepared to answer a few questions cause Ill pick your brains to learn as much as I can.

Last year I was fishing a main lake point no more than one cast from the bank... and Im not sure if it was a tournament or what but a wrapped bass boat at pretty close to full throttle decided to cut between us and the bank. IMO that is just uncalled for..... maybe he was late for the weigh in? but in reality I dont think he saved more than 5 seconds by cutting by us.

Im sure I could of wacked em with my jig.... but that aint right either. I gave em the ol universal sign of WTF are you thinking by throwing up both arms. Didnt phase em a bit, they just ignored me and kept on truckin.

Not saying the wrapped boat guys are all bad.... thats never happened to me before, and not only did it kill the bite, I believe it was a unsafe act that could have ended up being much worse.

Way too many people cut points on Table Rock. It is deep and clear, but you had better believe it has enough big would to tear stuff up, especially if not at power pool.

Over Memorial Day weekend I saw one pleasure boater and one bass boat actually run over no wake buoys.....obviously were not very familiar with the lake and or stupid.

I also had a guy see me nailing schooling fish just busting shad in the back of a cove in Big Creek and he trolled right up to where I was.At first it kinda put me off but, it was the third day in a row I had been hitting these fish so his visit prompted me to go try to catch fish somewhere else. The guy was actually pretty cool and very considerate for a dude in a wrapped boat and we talked a bit and I could see his face getting real anixous to throw some baits at the fish busting the water everywhere.I told him they had been in there since Thursday and he looked at me a said yeah okay....lol

I NEVER cut in front of anyone sitting stationary and fishing and stay as humanly possible safe distance away when I motor by and am always thinking about their front end where they're fishing.......I would hope everyone is like that.

Boobie, you are exactly right. Best just to move on and I'm only repeating my previous message here, but it's so darn hard not to give these jerks a piece of your mind sometimes. As I said earlier, ignorance is one thing. I can overlook that. It's the "screw you, I want to fish there and you're in my way" attitude that makes me want to throttle people. But again, you're exactly right. It will accomplish nothing because no amount of reason will work on unreasonable people.
