Members howards cowards Posted May 29, 2012 Members Posted May 29, 2012 I have never been fishing on Table Rock. Going the week of July 4th and staying on Holiday Island. I would love any help or suggestions for the area. I like to fish crappie and bass. Here are my questions. 1. Does an arkansas fishing license work for the lake, or do i have to get MO. license. 2. I have a 1648 express with 25hp. Is this boat undersized for any part of the lake. 3. Are there Walleye in the lake. 4. How long of a boat ride is it to where the Kings meets to Holiday Island marina. (just trying to get idea of how big it is. 5. What is this part of the lake called. Thanx for all your help. I will read as much as possible on the forum.

Members howards cowards Posted May 30, 2012 Author Members Posted May 30, 2012 Thanks for the reply. I meant to say, how long of a ride is it from Holiday Island Marina to where the Kings flows into the White. Not sure where the white stops and the table begins. The Coward
Members Craig Posted May 31, 2012 Members Posted May 31, 2012 The 4th is not one of my days to fish if you must go very early or stay back in creek arms make sure you have licences for ark and mo
Bill Babler Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 On the 4th. of July weekend with your rig, it is a mite to far. Would be at least a 1/2 day round trip, with very little fishing. The Cobalts are out that time of year at Shell Knob, ie Twin Rivers, where the Kings meets the White, and in your rig, you doin't want any part of that deal. There is enough good fishing where you are to keep you busy. Your rig is more than fine where you are. When you get much above Big M however you will be pushing it. As far as other parts of the lake for your boat, on the 4th. I would stay where you are. It just gets bigger and bigger, past Big M and so do the boats. Look at past reports from RPS, Duck, Myself and Powerdrive about the Upper End of the Whtie River. Good luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
rps Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Your Xpress with a 25hp is perfect for the Holiday Island to Hwy 62 Bridge above Houseman Access section of the lake. In that stretch (10 miles), you can find all three species of bass, walleye, huge bluegill, trout, and crappie.- even in the 4th of July heat. Plus, the narrower width reduces the number of the big wake boats you will encounter. When I return home from this trip in another week to 10 days, I will fish and post about every other day.

On a holiday weekend you can't bring too much boat unless it has 3 inch guns fore and aft. You will probably still get some of those wonderful souls trying to cruise/ski/tube even way up the rivers. Put safety first.
Bill Babler Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 D5Keeps you are right as "Big Wave Water." The Shell Knob Chamber likes to sell the area as the quite part of the lake. "I say Toad Tracks to That." With the width of the lake in that area and the number of Cobalts, Ski Natiques, and Master Crafts up there, that part of Table Rock on a Holiday weekend is simply more than a nightmare for us fisherman types. Big M has the cheapest gas on the lake and that stretch of Big Flat water from Viney to the Mouth of the Kings is an Ocean. From the Kings to Campbell Point is just a complete Zoo. I am having no part of it. Howard, RPS will for sure have great info and get ya on them if he is. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
