justin scobee Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 Ok I have found a guy that said he should be able to put a new transom in for $800 But I have to get every thing out of the way. Motor, cables, pump, tank etc. He will have to see it for a pin point dollar amount. But I was wanting to see if some one has a cherry picker that I could uses to pull the motor off with. If you have some thing that will work let me know. 417 365 2435. I would use a come along but my tree in my yard would up root I think. lol. Its not very big. Or I say some dumb butt would try to steal it. I have a garage here at my house to pull every thing. Thanks Justin
Nwtf gobbler Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 If you find something to pull it with I will try to come help you.
Hunter75 Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 if you cant find a cherry picker, a good medium to large tractor with a front end loader would work, I have used one to pick up full size cattle. you just need a heavy chain. sorry to hear about your luck, hopefully you can get her fixed and get back on the water.
justin scobee Posted June 13, 2012 Author Posted June 13, 2012 I got a tractor at the farm But its in Highlandville and I don't trust it to make it that far. It took me 1hr 20 just to drive home from ceder rige. I drove slow. Thanks Jason. I will give u a call if I get some thing.
fishinwrench Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 If you wanna run it up here I'll pull it and it can sit on a stand until it's ready to remount. I'll feed and water it daily, no charge. If it's a Suzuki or a Honda I'll have to put a trash bag over its head though.....cuz I don't wanna look at either one of those every day until your glass-man gets done. I have a good fiberglass guy on retainer too BTW.

gotmuddy Posted June 13, 2012 Posted June 13, 2012 use a comealong and a tree limb. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 I don't know about down there, but around me, there are many rental shops you can rent a Cherry Picker/Engine hoist for a reasonably cheap amount. I do have one, and would surely let you borrow it, But I am about 30 minutes south of St Louis. It would cost you more in gas one way then to rent one. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
Members OnPlane Posted June 16, 2012 Members Posted June 16, 2012 LOLOLO Fishinwrench.....ROGLMAO...good one...regarding "baggin" those...I don't like for em to be in front at take off of a tourney or being pulled down the road in front of me...LOL (but I don't know anything about em...either...for those of you that may have one...What about Evinrude....?
gotmuddy Posted June 16, 2012 Posted June 16, 2012 any decent hardwood would be tough enough to hold that motor. I used a limb about 8" diameter to winch my polaris rzr(side by side) up in the air. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
