Flyflinger Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 Just the cost of doing bidness: http://www.kctv5.com...in-independence cost of child neglect. Baaaaaad.... There is no limit to what a man can do or how far he can go if he doesn't mind who gets the credit
Midwest troutbum Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 If guns are taken away then its knives next. After that its clubs. Crlminals would still have all three as they do not follow the law to begin with. Guns are not the problem. Unlawful and uneducated people are the problem. Fishslayer88 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I honestly do not feel bad for the parents of that 3 year old. That gun had to be loaded with the safety off and in reach of a knee high child for him to shoot himself.(Here ya go Billy play with this) PURE NEGLECT. The parents should be in jail.
Haris122 Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Not to take away from any highly likely F-up on the parents side, but sometimes kids really know how to mess with stuff until it's just wrong to fire it off. All it takes is time, and they would figure out even how to get a round in the chamber and take the safety off. Granted a 3 year old probably wouldn't have the strength to rack a round in it if it wasn't already there, but it's not always as simple as loaded gun, safety off, easy to reach place, and then add curious kid. Plenty of grown people don't know how to handle them properly, much less little kids. That being said, careless/uneducated people is by far the biggest problem, though a simple "ignorant sheep" analogy is an oversimplification of the issue.

Fishslayer88 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Another thing we should get rid of! http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=3%20yr%20old%20killed%20by%20tv&source=web&cd=5&ved=0CF8QFjAE&url=http%3A%2F%2Fchicago.cbslocal.com%2F2012%2F01%2F16%2F4-year-old-girl-killed-by-falling-tv%2F&ei=7DMEUPmcBMnC2wWFwJW-Cw&usg=AFQjCNFI-lcirOQw8k3CKgOGuZ6KgPBeow
Haris122 Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Another thing we should get rid of! Banning poorly placed/secured TV"s, I'm all for it. On a lighter note, I often think how much more useful/productive I would've turned out had TV's been banned. Probably would need Internet banned too, though. Anyone ever saw Beavis and Butthead do America, where they're in the desert having that flashback of their lives before they're about to die, with them just sitting in front of the TV all their lives?

Understand where your coming from, 20 years ago I might have said the same thing. The parents have to live with the fact that they killed their own child. The baby died in his fathers arms. Quite honestly I'm not sure I could deal with the memory myself. Whether they should go to jail...I just don't know that answer. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Bird Watcher Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 I saw this Today and it reminded me of this thread. Paw Paw was definitely not a sheep. http://www.gainesvil...ports?p=2&tc=pg From the article.... Surveillance video of the incident was released on Monday by the Sheriff's Office. It shows two masked men entering the Palms Internet Cafe, 8444 SW State Road 200 in Ocala, just before 10 p.m. Friday. One of the men had a gun. Williams was seated toward the back of the cafe dressed in a white shirt, shorts and baseball cap. One of the masked men, identified as Duwayne Henderson, 19, comes in pointing a handgun at customers. The second man, Davis Dawkins, 19, is seen swinging a bat at something off screen, which was later identified as a $1,200 computer screen. As Henderson turns his back, Williams pulls out a .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun, stands from his chair, takes two steps, nearly drops to one knee, and fires two shots at Henderson, who bolts for the front door. Williams takes several more steps toward the door and continues firing as Henderson and Dawkins fall over one another trying to exit the building. The two eventually run off screen. Both men were shot by Williams. Their wounds were not life-threatening. Each was arrested hours later and charged with attempted armed robbery with a firearm and felony criminal mischief.
