Stoneroller Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 I found this picture on a fishing report page that I frequent. Here is the info: Mike Douin and Jeremy Leskovisek caught this Awesome 110.2 pound BlueCat on a whole moon eye in the Alton pool of the Mississippi River 54.5 inches long and 42 inches around. To compare her size just consider Mike is 6´ 8" and Jeremy is 6´ 6" Jeremy says their friend Devon Loftus baited the hook that catch this fish (definitely a team effort) Fish On Kayak Adventures, LLC. Daryk Campbell Sr Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 Big boys, and a big fish. Nice post. strangercreek Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 It is awesome to think that such a good population of large fish are still in the Mississippi and Missouri. Nice fat-cat!!
ollie Posted July 24, 2012 Posted July 24, 2012 Lived in the Alton area for a few years and that is a great area for big cats!! Story I know is that they COE blew up the old lock and left debri at the bottom, plus the fact there is the grain elevators nearby............... I know one day I saw some guy take out a 80 pounder at least. It was awesome!! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
