Members kirbydog Posted August 2, 2012 Members Posted August 2, 2012 There are some big trout in there-only difference I would make is going up to 6 lb line.
Mitch f Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I think Drew pretty much nailed it "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Ham Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I throw my stuff on 6 lb. if I threw stuff on 4 lb for a while and if I thought it was even a little better, I'd still be throwing it. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Members wbyman Posted August 2, 2012 Author Members Posted August 2, 2012 Can you be more specific on brands and models of rods, reels and line ?
Lancer09 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I think drew was pretty specific. Go to the store and see what you like, and what fits your budget.
Gavin Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Lots of good rods out there...just depends on your budget...In reels...I've had some reliability issues with Daiwa & Shimano spinning reels, but I've been very happy with Abu and Plueger.
mic Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 My absolute favorite setup...works for trout and panfish. Best part is it casts like a dream with light weight lures/setups. Rod. St. Croix Light - http://www.basspro.c...ct/103653/76135 Reel: Mitchel - http://www.basspro.c...10204449/126420 Line: 3wt Braid - http://www.basspro.c...ct/44282/129224 48 Inch leader of 4lb fluorocarbon
