Feathers and Fins Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Mizzou is a good team and can hold up to many of those teams on the schedule combined with last years records new recruits and players returning. But mostly the good ole gut feeling. I also think they can beat the UofA this year based on all the problems its and if LSU goes out with a grudge and tries to avenge themselves I think they are very beatable this year. But they will beat themselves more than the other team will. Now if they can put last years loss behind them they will be next to unbeatable. College is far more fun to watch and talk about than the pro's the kids are still hungry. Even better next year goes to playoffs which will finally put an end to the question of which is the best conferance and I think the SEC will prove its the best, IF and its a BIG IF the playoffs are actually done right and ot based on opinion and computer polls. Im waiting to see the final foremat for them. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Members kirbydog Posted August 8, 2012 Members Posted August 8, 2012 So all you guys who are picking them to be 7-5 or 8-4 are gonna come on here and tell why they're 4-8 in Dec. Right? Saying the Big 12 is a better conference than the SEC is dislusional thinking. Been a Razorback fan for 40 yrs, my wife bleeds LSU. I can remember the bowl game where OK would have been national champion-all they had to do was beat Arkansas and they got spanked 31-6. 1973 or 1974 . Thats how far back I go. Don't get me wrong MIszou will be a good add to the SEC, just don't see them having alot of success for 3-4 yrs.
BATCAB27 Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I can't believe you guys that claim to be mizzou fans can seriously get on here and rip on Gary Pinkle. What was mizzou football before him??? If he retired tomorrow he would be the greatest coach in the history of Mizzou. Somebody posted that they shoul have gone out an gotten a big time coach with the move to the SEC. Who?? Just exactly who would you like to get that is better?? Yes, he will need to keep the in state talent better than he has. But, being in the big 12, he went for the Texas kids. That's a lot bigger pool. The ones that UT and A&M didn't want, he got. And I'd say it worked out pretty well for him. Multiple first round NFL draft picks have come out of mizzou in the past few years. The DGB get is HUGE for recruiting. More good kids are going to want to come play at mizzou if he and they have a good year. And for the James Franklin haters, if they go 8-4 like many predict, he will be on the preseason heisman short list for 2013.

Seems the Tiges even set some all time records in that game. stlfisher Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 All I really know is the buzz heading into this year certainly seems at an all time high. I can't wait for September 8th against Georgia.
Guest Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Vs Southeastern LA = W VS Georgia = L Vs Arizona St = W VS South Carolina = L VS UCF = W VS Vanderbilt = L VS Alabama = L VS Kentucky = W Vs Florida = W VS Tennessee = W VS Syracuse = W VS Texam A&M = L 7-5 (South Carolina will sweep the east again this year) Mizzou gets off easy in the Eastern Division. I would be surprised if they dont win 7 games with that schedule. TAM will get hammered every weekend in the West this year and for years to come. LSU & Bama are #1-#2 almost every year now. 3rd place in the west is a top 10 team. Its naive to think the transition from the B12 to the SEC will be seemless as Pinkle thinks. When LSU/Bama knock out 2 of your best offensive and defensive lineman for the season, thats when depth will separate the new teams from the current SEC power teams. They're 2nd string players are just as good as the starters, which makes it hard to wear them down in the 4th quarter. They just keep defenders coming in waves.
Ham Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 I'll be watching the results of BOTh of the new SEC teams very closely. I hope Mizzou will at the very least do better than the aggies. I expect Mizzou to struggle a little bit in the SEC, but I'm not rooting for them to do poorly. The aggies on the other hand can go fall in a hole and die. I'd like to see the aggies lose every SEC game they ever play. Go Tigers! LSU Tigers naturally. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

Feathers and Fins Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Looking at TAM schedule I could ask when they made the NCAA Football Gods mad!? Talk about WELCOME TO THE SEC! A redheaded step-child would have it better lol. But for giggles here is how I see it for them Louisiana Tech = W Florida = L SMU = W SC STATE = L Arkansas = L BUTT WHOOPIN BIG TIME OLE MISS = W but barely and wont cover a spread if its 7 or less LSU = L and an embarassing loss at that Auburn = L Miss State = L Alabama = L and welcome to another butt whoopin Sam Houston = W Missouri = L 4 and 8 if they are lucky. Ole Miss has a way of making things interesting and could win making them 3 and 8. If they have injuries in either of the first two games to key players then 2 and 8 because the middle of the schedule will certainly take out a few players. I was in F-Ville today and talking to a few locals who had been around the Razorbacks and he says they sound like guys who are out to prove they can beat anyone there is this year no matter who is coach or who got arrested or what anyone says they are a team. If thats true and that the attitude then AR might be very dangerous this year trying to prove a point. Cant wait for LSU AR always a great game and the Backs are in F-ville this year for it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
