exiledguide Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Any one seen or own this bait? I got an email advertising this bait........looks interesting but?????
rps Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 The video is fascinating. I am sure it will catch good fish, and Mega Bass baits are well made with excellent hooks. $33+ MSRP is a deal breaker.
Gavin Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 Tackle Tour had a review.. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewmegabassxpod.html Think I'll save my cash an get a couple of River2Sea Bubble Walkers (Pop Max Knockoff) and some Strike King Dawg Jr's...
exiledguide Posted August 8, 2012 Author Posted August 8, 2012 Yeah the price is making it difficult to be the first kid on the block to own one and with my luck throwing that on 10 or twelve pound line a muskie would eat it. Kind of an update of the old Spence Scout with the different positions to tie on your line making it a wake bait or shallow running bait. That bait worked good, wonder why I quit throwing it?

Good question. The River Runt was every bit as good as the Big O and all the recycles since. The Cisco Kid was a heck of a stick bait. Who remembers coach dog braided line?
Ham Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 A river runt may have caught fish very well in its day, but it will not catch fish nearly as well as some crankbaits do today. Mitch f Posted August 11, 2012 Posted August 11, 2012 I think Mitch F might have one. I have fishing rods that didn't cost as much as that popper. I don't think one will ever see my tackle box. Yes I do, my opinion is save your money. Even though it's adjustable, I tend to leave the lower jaw position in one spot. I think the finish of the lure is absolutely superb though.
