Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the lake is only like 2 feet low right now. Normal elevation is 706, and its 704 and some change. Truman is a flood control lake, the bank line is bare because the last couple of springs the lake has been anywhere from 7-20 ft high.

Ok one Cove I was fishing in last year at this time there is no water there, one Ramp I was using last year water an't even close to it and I'm seeing dirt where I never have on the Lake.Plus was talking with a Guy at Bass Pro and he said he couldn't believe how low the Lake was durring Firearms Deer Season last year.

Something isn't adding up.

COE says 704.49' at 19:30CDT 08-20-12 that's 1 1/2 feet low I have never seen Truman lower that 2 ft down. Might this year, everybody is so use to seeing Truman above normal that's it hard to adjust to the present conditions. There is a lot of shallow water on Truman when it's normal now is the time to get out and look around and find some things that you have been missing.

Guys! I was mistaken.

Truman is currently 704.6

Wanna know what the lake level was on Aug.20 2011 (last year) ?

It was exactly the same, 704.6

November (deer season) 2011 it got down to 704.1 or thereabouts.

With water being so low, it might be a good time to go scouting for better fishing spots for next spring.

Yea need to do some marking on my GPS.Trouble with Truman there is so much Structure. There is places I took Boat through last Spring I wouldn't try swimming through it now.
