Chief Grey Bear
There was nothing even remotely close to being sarcastic about it. It is my belief. Hunter Ed is great training. CCW is just a tax without any real substance. And just a bit about your new message in your signature. Had your team not been so hell bent on making our current prez a one termer, and actually done the work they were elected to do, you wouldn't have seen that pathetic display of a once great man. It didn't take much to carry that crowd. They would applaud to a mouse fart if it was a conservative mouse. You must remember, they ate up every lie that Ryan tossed to them. jdmidwest
DIrty Harry went rogue, at least there were no momma grizzly references. Unfortunately the last on stage is the one that does not inspire. His only hope is that he may be better than what is there now. The rest of the show showed some promise. I for one believe in the training, but I do not feel you need to be licensed to carry or hide it all of the time. Al Agnew
Al, you never seemed like the kinda guy to get a jab in at the end of a well thought out rebuttal. I guess I was wrong. Sorry...I don't know your situation. If, like Feathers and Fins, you are living or working in the kind of places and activities where the danger is much greater than my situation, then I wouldn't call it paranoia. If that's the case I'm truly sorry to have characterized it as such. But if you're like most of us on here, living and working in low crime areas, then I think it does take a certain amount of paranoia to feel you have to carry "just in case". I don't feel the likelihood of a crazed killer coming into the Sullivan McDonalds while you're there getting a Big Mac makes it imperative that you carry. On the other hand, if you frequent the Sullivan Wal-mart after 11 PM when the crazed methheads invade it to steal the Sudafed, you may have a point

Chief Grey Bear
On that we both agree, sorry I took it the wrong way. I for one believe in the training, but I do not feel you need to be licensed to carry or hide it all of the time. No problem, it happens. I couldn't agree more about the license. What sucks about it is, there are folks like you and me that have had guns in our hands practically since birth. Proper handling of weapons is such second nature, it does not even require thought. We should be able to just fill out the paperwork and pay for the licesne. But you have others out there that even after the 8 hour course, still don't have a clue of just what they are holding in their hand. They just want the perception of power straped to their side. They have watched too many hollywood movies and they relate that to real life. It is not anywhere near that. I just feel there is a hell of a bunch of people out there that have their papers and shouldn't. But if you think about it, a driver license ain't much different. Feathers and Fins
Al, the first thing my Instructor years back said was ( if you are going into a bad area at your will then you are putting yourself in a bad situation, concela carry is not about being Dirty Harry its about protecting yourself when you have no choice, Dont make the choice to put yourself in that situation if you do not have to! ) He went on to give examples and take questions on situations. I gave him mine and he said ( You have to make a living and told me how to carry in a way that made it clear I had the weapon as a deterent ) A lady in the class brought up her car in a parking garage his answet to her was ( never walk to it yoursel go in a group and park in a group so all of you can be togeather and if its not possible the last 2 get in one car and the driver takes the other to their car defuse the situation by numbers ). I like everyone else probably knows a few people who carry just for sake of carrying and its fine its their right and if it makes them feel better great I guess they still need a woobee to keep them happy. I honestly am not to worried about fishing situations or floating etc but its still a great noise maker in an emergency and a snake charmer for those afraid of Mr Noshoulder. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
