Members Bass Ivy Posted September 23, 2012 Members Posted September 23, 2012 All Jokes aside I heard a couple years ago that it was Bobby Patrinos house. I think it looks like crap myself. I like looking at land that is natural and then you have the goofy looking thing out there in the middle of no where. That area is called the Slate Gap Area. From the Mouth of Rambo Cove going toward Lost Bridge there is a water intake on your right hand side. Its a big concrete thing with a building on top of it. Go past it still heading toward Lost Bridge then Go left into the first good sized cove that is where that thing is. I really dont know if its Bobby's house or not, but I did hear that. Probably just a rumor.
jeb Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 I kind of doubt that, unless he has some other ties to this area besides coaching. It was in it's present form before he ever took the job at the U of A. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha

Members Bee Port Posted May 8, 2018 Members Posted May 8, 2018 I believe the green you see is actually zip osb plywood that was intended to be stucco'd over. I heard the original owner/builder fell to his death. A time later another poor fellow bought and took over the construction and fell from a scaffold to his death. Could end up as part of the haunted Eureka scene.
J-Doc Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 First I have heard of the death part. You are correct, it's a green board used in construction. I assume it's still sitting there.....green as ever. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Quillback Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 It was still there last year, haven't been in that cove since then.
Dan the fisherman Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 I read 2 pages of this and had to stop. Maybe some one has already posted what happened but, it was a nice man that was building the “castle” . He had been doing it for several years but unfortunately he fell to his demise from a scaffolding. So now it sits unfinished. I remember when it happed, it was a tragedy for sure.
Sore Thumbs Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 I heard about that Dan. Didn’t know it was that particular home.
