I am.. but they are all small male fish thus far.

Once the big female fish show up.. it will be hit and miss.

The weather plays a huge roll in this too.

Fished Fri night from 9-1 and did real well on rapalas. (I spin fish) I also threw the PMS jig and caught a couple. I missed a real good fish right in front on outlet 2 early on. Only caught 1 rainbow and about a dozen browns so, yeah, they are definitely moving up in good numbers now.

Howdy J77, I talked with you about 11:30 on friday night, and I recall you saying that you had caught mostly browns. I was the old timer getting geared up at the pavillion. Got on the water just as they shut it down at midnight. First bite of the night was a nice healthy 4 lb rainbow. Caught several more in the next 3 hrs, but all were rainbows. I have seen this occurance several times in the past, browns seem to key in on rapalas. A few years back, I witnessed an 18 lber caught at night on a rapala. The guy came in behind me, and caught it on the first cast to the water I had just spent some time fishing. You are due for one of those big fish.

Good to hear. I also hear that for some reason the browns clear out between the 25th thru the 29th of october which is good as thats the weekend we're going down!!

That's to early, I always say they are gone by thanksgiving. You should still have good activity at the end of october.

Sorry laker67, I was trying to be sarcastic in stating that the browns will be gone the 25th thru 29th. That way the stream would be less crowded for the time period we are going to be there.

Small browns (under 20 inches) doing the belly flop down close to the MDC boat ramp.

Belly flops? Chasing emerging insects, maybe caddis?
