No HI problem is with no HI if you need an emergency quadruple bypass because you smoked, we will indirectly pay for it, unless you are independently wealthy. Flysmallie Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Gonna find Wrench dead in the shop with a carb kit in one hand and a bag of estaz in the other and hairspray fumes all around.

fishinwrench Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 You have a spare set of lungs hanging around? How did I know that a comment like that from Me was gonna summon up some s#it from you? LOL When my lungs, heart, ect. go then I'll call it a life well lived. Is there a law that says I have to fight to live far after I'm too broke down to enjoy myself, or spend 10 years trying to hang on to something that isn't ever gonna come back? When I'm done I'm done, so don't go selling my stuff to pay a funeral home bill or waste a good beer over it either for that matter. Have a party on me, and feed the buzzards.

You've made a decision, and you're willing to accept responsibility for it- to me that's admirable, and if more folks were willing to do that it wouldn't be an issue. But I think you may be in the minority. I'm not against smoking per se, I believe folks should have the right to make their own decisions. But I also believe they are responsible for those decisions, and others shouldn't have to pay for the choices they made. It doesn't sound like you're doing that, but lots of folks are. <{{{><
fishinwrench Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Sometimes I think that a big (if not bigger) problem is the number of unnecessary procedures performed by surgeons in order to either milk a patients insurance co. or to CTA when they just aren't sure which route is the safest. In my extended family we have a 320+lb. female soon to have a kidney transplant, and nobody is truly sure that she really needs it. She was supposed to loose 70lbs. before it would even be considered .... and instead she gained another 8. But she is employed by Mutual of Omaha and has superior benefits so bygod it's gonna happen regardless. Stupid !!!! Stupid stupid stupid.
ness Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 OK -- the level of BS has risen to where I can't let it go any longer. Ward Clever had a pipe, but he NEVER smoked it. NEVER. Beaver and Larry smoked some coffee grounds in it, but that's it. John
