What is your favorite shotgun and why?

A short dbl.barrel is probably the quickest to load and the least likely to malfunction. And if two shots isn't enough, well.....

12G pump with 2 bean bags backed by 3 slugs or buckshot.

I think a pump with 2 rock salts backed by light loaded OO's would be my ideals.

I'm on the fence about the bean bags, but if I was to use them, I wouldn't give 'em more than one non-lethal. If an intruder doesn't get the idea after one "warning shot" there isn't time for a second.

Home defense to me means they are in the home with intent to harm myself or my family. 12g auto with extension tube and unleash the 00 Buck They are there to harm me im not going to hurt them in my house im going to kill them dead so they cant harm my family!

The thing about non-lethal is that it applies to everyone. In a dark house it's impossible to be certain about the location of everyone who belongs there. A non- leathal shot lets you put things in perspective. A burglary isn't always meant to harm. We do share the planet with idiots.
