Members Clayton Bass Posted December 10, 2012 Members Posted December 10, 2012 Finally started to see a good number of mallards this morning, hopeful I'll get a quick limit in the morning, I almost froze out this morning.

Jerry Rapp Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 keep that cold air up there where it belongs. Us fishermen would appreciate it. Thanks.
duckydoty Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Just scouted Table Rock around Comb's Ferry, Indian point and north side of the dam. No new ducks there yet. Gonna hunt lower Taney in the morning I guess. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Feathers and Fins Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 Ditto got the report in for Beaver the boys ran from the dam to blue springs today and reported a few Mergies, a few Goldeneye the resident Mallards where were they belonged and 4 stupid geese were where i said they would be for the taking. They did go check out Looney Tooney in PC and they now are hooked on his anticks, they said they watched him for about 30 minutes chasing shad right under the boat even. I think he is becoming a celeb. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

It's weird, but during the course of daily activities I freeze my butt off, but I would do just about anything for 6" of snow from Butler, MO, North to Canada and Daytime highs in the teens.
Feathers and Fins Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Im right there with you man, when im working im cold and miserable but put me on the lake with a gun in my hand and decoys in front im warm and happy. The one good thing about this front is it finally put me in the Christmas spirit. Ive got 10 days off and going down to the farm for 5 of them or more and a few in Dewitt so im pretty sure i will be killing stuff. Truth is I really like hunting the Big Water and small creeks around here more than the rice fields and flooded timber. Maybe its the challenge or the scenry of these beautiful Ozarks but I just enjoy them more. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
jdmidwest Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 Lots of snows moved thru Fri and Sat on the East side of the state. I did not get out but friends did not report any new ducks, just snows. I think I might have to agree with the MDC, ducks have peaked and passed here. http://extra.mdc.mo.gov/cgi-bin/mdcdevpub/apps/wtr_survey/main.cgi "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. moodyfour Posted December 11, 2012 Posted December 11, 2012 I don't think all the ducks have passed... Too many reports of lots of ducks in the Dakotas still. Wish I could have went this morning, but had to work. Hoping for a heavy flood so I can visit a buddy over Christmas in Arkie land and hammer some green in the timber.
