gitnby Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Got some Bass Pro & Amazon gift cards for Christmas and they're burning a hole in my pocket! I thought I'd use them to load up on some new line. Was interested in opinions of what line you like specifically for Table Rock. Don't like braided, except for A-rig. Haven't justified the flourocarbon, except for the jerkbait Here's what I typically use: 8# or 10# Seaguar for jerkbait on spinning reel 6# or 8# Maxima or P-Line for grubs, splitshot rig, tube, dropshot, etc 8# or 10# (Trilene, Berkely or ?) for crankbait, spoon or jig 12# or 14# (Whatever brand?) for large worm, FB jig or C-rig Love to hear what specific types others use!
ozarkgunner Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 10 lb yo zuri hybrid for all bait casters Angler At Law
Jerry Rapp Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Berkely Big Game Mono in whatever size/color you want. Then when you change line on reels your butt hole doesn't pucker. And the Big Game works fine. And you will have saved a lot of money so you can buy another mega bass jerk or two.
Sore Thumbs Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Power Pro Braid 65lb on A-rig. 14-20lb Floro for jig or Heavy Cover BPS mono 10lb for jerk and crankbait BPS mono 14lb for spinnerbait and topwater Power Pro 15-30 lb braid with 8lb floro leader on dropshot.
Football Head Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Seaguar Invizx 6# - 20# on all applications except topwater and A-rig. Topwater= 20# Trilene A-rig= 65# power pro super slick braid
nwaoutdoorsman Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I use flourocarbon for everything with the exception of topwaters, I use 15lb mono for those. 15 for football jigs, spinnerbaits, C-rig, texas rig, etc, 10 for crankbaits, jerkbaits etc, 8 for spinning rods and 20 for an A-rig.
ozarkgunner Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Anyone ever break off with good quantity 10lb on fish? I haven't lost a fish on fresh 10 lb test in years. Angler At Law
