Quill, it will be like Nascar with caution flags and tow boats! There are just so many points, bars and obstructions from Montne up past Blue Springs I did not even try to map out that area, they had better take a day just cruising up with there with side scan on and marking the clear paths or they will need the Tow Boat. Even the maps I posted might be completely diffrent with a couple more feet of drop tack on a Heavy spring rain and all the logs and brush that will be washed down the lake it will be very dangerous. I never run wide open after heavy rains just way to many Mines floating around.

Those arrowhead laws are kind of ridiculous IMO.

It will be interesting to see what the FLW guys do if the lake is still down in April when the FLW comes to Beaver. If they think there's bass in the uplake river channels those guys will blast up there.

Every year it's been split between above 12 bridge or below 12 bridge. At first the guys south of the 12 bridge have a strong finish on the 1st day. Then the guys fishing both ends of the lake. Then the guy fishing the main lake and on then on the final day, the guy in mid-lake always seems to be the winner.

This year if it stays this low or lower, they will all have to fish the main lake and only a few will fish up into the rivers. I just don't see it sustaining a 4 day pattern of "toads" to be able to win a tournament. The fishing pressure will be unreal on the river end and with less water, there will be more pressure during practice and the first few days of the tournament. Not to mention local tournament pressure that time of year.

Definately going to be a mid-lake tournament this year. My opinion.

Doc, on a normal year I would agree with you but with the possibility of so many flats opening up on the river this year I think more guys will be up river looking for fish on beds and that is where the winning top 10 bags will come out of or at least a large amount of them. But I will not be suprised to see someone pull off a big win out of the back of some of the midlake coves out of the back on a the flats. If it stays down it will be taylor made for sight fishing guys.

This also bothers me as I think many tournaments will be tearing up on the bed fish if the lake stays low. That type of pressure could also make the FLW become a Smallmouth tournament, A angler who can key in on the Big Smallmouth might be the suprise winner. Anyway it should be interesting if water stays low.

They have been acting weird this year, I know where they are at and havent moved for a month and a half, maybe this rain will finally spur them to move but im betting it takes them a week or two to get up river in numbers they are midlake right now. A few here and there in the river, strange year for sure.

PUT NONE in those reports, they are pretty much a carbon copy each week and I have seen both in places not where they were listing, Not to say they were lieing as fish move daily and those weeks might have been submitted the week before or the fish moved between them submitting and them being reported. Your truthful best bet for current info is HLS in Rogers or this forum.

When it warms up more people will be reporting, Beaver has 2 seasons Fishing and Boating. Fishing is October through the end of May when the Boater season starts. I tend to stay clear of the lake in the Boating Season as your not allowed to shoot or catch them and I hear they taste horrible!
