Anything that preserves where we are now and prevents deterioration will be good. Face it, the White we have is not that of our ancestors. No floods, no river boats, no empty channels with pool after pool nearly disconnected. The challenge is making sure it becomes no worse.

The White in it's natural state is gone forever. I don't spend ANY time thinking about what it would be like today IF it was never altered. The White River we have today is pretty darn fantastic. It can be very enjoyable to fish as it actually is. And truth be told, there are 100's of miles of wild rivers that still exist in their natural state (or at least very close) that we can still float, fish, and enjoy.
