Hog Wally Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 My trapping buddy was running his line at Allenton and said there was two guys in kayaks killing some big crappie. Which one of you guys was it. Details please. He said main river on logs.
Hog Wally Posted January 20, 2013 Author Posted January 20, 2013 Kayser? Where you been ? Have you been back to our secret spot ? Any walleye? Whites? As soon as my boat is built I'm going. You in?
Mitch f Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Hog Wally, you should be able to find your own secret spots with a $25,000 boat. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Kayser Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Nope, haven't had the yak out, Wally. I was working yesterday, couldn't make it. Starting to go stir crazy with that warm weather. It looks like we might get some decent weather for it at the end of the month. I just need to tie up some jigs and go fish. Or jerkbaits. Need to get jerkbaits. WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
Hog Wally Posted January 21, 2013 Author Posted January 21, 2013 I agree on the jerkbaits! In our secret spot I bet we catch a limit of walleye there. Same trapping buddy said there is a 38" walleye at chatoeu claim access dead with gigging marks in it. And I wish that Riverpro only costed 25000. Kayser I will call you for the maiden voyage. It'll be march then so it oughta be everything bitin
Greasy B Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 buddy said there is a 38" walleye at chatoeu claim access dead with gigging marks in it. Gut wrenching! Some butt hole deserves a whooping. Hog Wally Posted January 22, 2013 Author Posted January 22, 2013 The only way they will stop is if we stop em. I have no problem with rattin out any game thief of any kind. In fact it makes me feel good

Haris122 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I checked out Allenton Access first time today. Not the best opportunity to fish from the shore, but it was peaceful at least. Ended up scouting around the place a good chunk of the time, and during the actual fishing I just skunked out. Guess it was still too cold. Only other person I saw today, was some guy in his truck, when I got there. Left soon after, but then came back some hours later, and just hung out in his truck for an hour before leaving again. Found that kind of odd/suspicious. Had me wondering what his deal was. Anyways, I do think I saw one wake that was probably a fish. I think I'll check it out again when it's warmer, hopefully have some luck then.
Hog Wally Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 I was upriver yesterday. Did some bank fishing myself. The walk sucked but I knew of a slough with logs everywhere in it caught a limit and some of black and white crappie with a couple largemouth and a channel cat too boot
