Greasy B Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 See there, something good can come from something bad. Great pics. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
fishinSWMO Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Awesome pics Gavin! Food, fishing, camping, your doing good! Jeremy Dodson
Guest Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Man, those look really good, making me want a midnight snack... There's nothing better than fried fish on the stream bank, (or ditch bank as we say here). I grew up fishing for flathead at night on the St. Francis, and let me tell ya, it's hard to beat fresh flathead fillets cooked in peanut oil, right out of the river!! We've probably fished the same holes. I grew up catfishing several areas along the St.Francis: Parkin, Round Pond, Cody, and the Huxtable pumping station to name a few. Some of the best fishing of my life. Ive lived in the Ozarks for 12 years now, and really miss the old muddy river. My favorite time is when the bugs get out in April, those nats gat all clogged in your airways running down the river.
Guest Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Gavin, stop posting pictures before I have to leave work early!!!! LOL
Terrierman Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Why is that? Well, if you believe those losers at MDC: "Introduced populations of spotted bass tend to replace the smallmouth through hybridization and competition". And I happen to be a great admirer of smallmouth bass.
