Feathers and Fins Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 A friend posted this on FB today, Here is a young lady that knows how to use a gun is out enjoying life with it and spending it with family. She smokes many guys times i have seen run that course so you know she aint screwing around online or at the mall or anything. This is the stuff the media should be showing. Greasy B Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I guess it depends on what neighborhood your from. In the neighborhood where I grew up and where I've always worked the reality is much like that portrayed in Jacks links. Where I live and spend the weekends it's like that F&F noted, though i suspect much less innocent. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
Smalliebigs Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Greasy, you are correct it all depends on what neighborhood, because Jack's reality of guns is BS in mine.
Kelroy Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Short answer- because the "media" will only report things which support their AGENDA.

hank franklin Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 So what do we make of this Dan Brown character in Rolla, MO, a MIssouri state senator who wants the state (vis a vis) public education, to teach first graders about gun control? http://gasconade.countynewslive.com/content/regarding-senator-browns-bill-would-mandate-1st-graders-receive-firearm-training-public-scho The nanny-state on steroids. Don't worry about teaching your kids about guns, our first grade teachers will do it fer ya! Are you freaking kidding me? Will the nanny-state wipe my child's butt for me too?
Outside Bend Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I dunno, seems from the link they're just teaching kids what to do if they encounter a gun. Nothing political, and no different in my mind than teaching kids not to pick up downed powerlines or drink the colorful liquids housed under the sink. Kids are naturally curious, and teaching them guns are not a plaything seems pretty pragmatic to me. <{{{><
