gitnby Posted February 1, 2013 Author Posted February 1, 2013 Actually, I can get underneath by removing front accessory panel and reaching through from storage lid. Had to take off mounting bracket and repair it 2 summers ago. Was fairly easy to get to and re-attach to deck.

Have not had to go deeper than my front panel on the current ride.
rps Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Not exactly what you asked - but relevant I hope. I have been running a 24 volt Terrova on a fob for over a year. I would never go back. If you can afford the jump, you will never regret the move.
Champ188 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 My only advice would be that I would step up to the 82-pound Tour edition MotorGuide. The one you are looking at for $500 has a cheaper foot pedal and mount, and I don't think you would be pleased with it in the long run.
Sore Thumbs Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I have the same as Champ. 82 lb MotorGuide. Most power u can get before you go to a 36v system. No issues so far(if u don't count self inflicted problems)
Members nobutt56 Posted February 3, 2013 Members Posted February 3, 2013 i have the unit you show. you dont want it!!!!!!!!!! i am going to replace mine as soon as i have the extra money! dont ask why i dont like it...there are too many reasons to list. minnkota for me. just my preference...owned minnkota before. should not have changed.
Hunter91 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I had the one you are looking at also. I kept the trolling motor but upgraded my mount to the gator mount. I did not like the mount that came with it at all.
gitnby Posted February 3, 2013 Author Posted February 3, 2013 Well, one of our forum members happened to have an older Motorguide for sale. He PM'ed me, and I picked it up today. Hopefully, it will catch fish better than my old one!
Champ188 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 If anyone wants a Gator Mount brand new in the box, I have one that I'd like to sell.
