Flysmallie Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 I did watch some of one game over the weekend. Manchester United and Swa? It is more interesting than the PGA, NBA and MLB. I enjoyed what I saw.
joeD Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Ok. I give. You rascals are too sensitive. Meanwhile, I'll cheer my daughters on in Field Hockey. Until basketball, thank Gosh. THEN soccer. Oy.
ollie Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 It's all good joe. I am a fanatic about the sport. Is there a 12 step program for that? lol heck, I even support the Chiefs like the Spurs. stlfisher Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I watched the Man U and Swansea game as well. I was actually surprised (also encouraged) it was on a national broadcast. I believe that NBC has now purchased the right to air the MLS games. Fox soccer (free if you have direct TV) shows replayed Premier league and UEFA cup matches. this comes in handy when I am feeding the little guy in the middle of the night.

On The Fly 6 Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 NBC will broadcast all the EPL games as well as many of the MLS games. They're really backing the sport here in the US because apparently it's growing in popularity or something ?! I despise Man U. I don't think they'll be in the title race as much this year. It'll be Man City and Chelsea. I'm waiting for Tootenham to take the crushing blow of losing Bale to Real! They'll finish midtable if he leaves, right where they should be ?! Also, MLS wise...Galaxy won their CONCACAF CL game the other day 2-0 thanks to Keane ( who, like Dempsey, could still be playing in Europe). Ole! ollie Posted August 26, 2013 Posted August 26, 2013 And some say there isn't enough support for the game. Take a look at this! Oh yea, forgot to mention there were over 67,000 fans on hand for this game. Interesting.... Anyway.... GAME ON!!!!! - Nick
stlfisher Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Huge game tonight for sure...especially after the mess in Costa Rica last Friday. I have to DVR it...so I am attempting to live in a bubble until I can watch it later tonight. That is gonna be hard to do!
