I've never caught a 20", not in Missouri at least. Which is kind of embarassing considering I fish quite a bit in the warmer months, and even a bit in the winter. This would probably be my biggest, caught on the Big River in an area where that there aren't supposed to be many smallies according to some on this board.

Holy crap!!!!! Nick is the MAN!!!!! that is a nice smallie and that just one of many that size he catches very frequently.

405z06, I agree with you, all of the bigger smallies "18 and over " have been from Byrnes Mill down to the Meramec.....thats where the big ones hide on the Big.

22" on spinning gear and 19.5" on the fly. Been about 18 yrs. since I caught the 22".

I'm not trying to call BS on anybody but, does anyone have a pic of their 22 inch river Smallmouth Bass???? I have been fishing for them for a long time and have only seen two in person that big and that was when I was a kid.....just would like to see one that big again
