Jacob W Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Hey all, I signed up as a non boater for the bfl on table rock and already got put on the waiting list. I was wondering if there were any of you guys fishing it and would like to add me as a co anglers to guarantee us an open spot and maybe do some pre fishing. I'm new to Missouri, not knowing anyone around here except here on this forum, and even then, not personally, but any help would be appreciated.
97procraft Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Jacob, I hope you find someone to link up with. I had the same problem a few years ago and now I try to find a link partner several months before a tournament. I was lucky to find one this year, so I am in for all the BFL's as a co angler. If anything comes up and I can't make it I will let you know and you can have my spot. Jeff
*T* Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Still openings for "boaters"? What's the max, 200? Where is best place to check? Phone number? "Water is the driving force of all Nature."Â -Leonardo da Vinci
Bill Babler Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Grand is the same weekend and I know alot of Local fisherman are going down there. Really poor planning by the BFL folks. These lakes are to close together to have them both have the same derbys on the same weekend. Grand is getting alot of attention. "Wonder." I am sure they will have a monster field down there. MIght want to look on the non-boater side for that pond. Probably still be full. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Jacob W Posted February 27, 2013 Author Posted February 27, 2013 Thank you all for the help. I'll keep at it searching for someone, maybe I can luck out!
Champ188 Posted February 27, 2013 Posted February 27, 2013 Jacob, you might call Rich at Ozarks Bait and Tackle in Kimberling City and see if he knows of any unlinked boaters. 417-739-1116
cullinby9 Posted February 28, 2013 Posted February 28, 2013 Thank you all for the help. I'll keep at it searching for someone, maybe I can luck out! Its to late now the 26th was priority deadline. The waiting list will be long for co-anglers as always good luck. Flw has a forum on its site to help people link for gauranteed status. If you live close enough to take a chance drive down to the pre-tournament meeting alot of times a couple boaters will sign up at registration if your there you can jump in if no one is present they just start down the waiting list.
Champ188 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Wish they hadn't moved this Table Rock tournament up from its former May spot on the schedule. I probably would have fished it but am fishing the Okie Division event at Grand. Love the Rock in May. Co-angler winner was in the back of my boat a couple of years ago. The guy fished an Eakins jig with the biggest dang craw-worm trailer I've ever seen and dip-n-dyed the entire darn trailer chartreuse. We were fishing ledge rock drops 6-12 feet deep and I could see his jig on the bottom most of the day. I kid you not. And every time I turned around he was hooked up again.
Sore Thumbs Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I will see you at the meeting in Grove Champ. I am going to be a co-angler this year. Still have much to learn I figured this would be a great way.
