laker67 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I agree with DADAKOTA, people try to rush this crappie thing every year. And along about november they will be talking about a second spawn and the dang lake turning over.
Lvn2Fish Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 Believe it not I caught six while bass fishing on saturday. Every fish in about three feet of water right on the bank. 14'' females ready to explode.
Members Tanner Hamelau Posted April 8, 2013 Author Members Posted April 8, 2013 Sadly got back sunday and have to wait a whole nother year for the trip but did pretty good. the crappies were off the banks in the cool mornings but around 2 the fishing really started heating up and brought some big crappie to the banks that had been beaten by the sun all day. caught plenty of 12 plus inch crappies (along with a catfish, plenty of bass, and plenty of sheepheads).

catman70 Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Back of coves, 2-6 feet deep, purple swimming minnow. Only fished the last two hours of daylight but caught more than a dozen crappie and several small bass.
