Anyone know or have a link to the Lake records for LM, SM and Spotted bass? The recent talk of 11'lbers being caught got me wondering what the record is for Table Rock. I remember maybe a year or two ago someone catching a whopper Spot that was low to mid 7's I believe and though someone said it was only ounces away from the Lake record. Anyone have a link or know the records for species of bass or even other fish?

7 lb 8 oz spot is the state record for spotted bass and it was caught at Table Rock in 2004. Not sure on Large mouth.

I think Dan morehead caught a 6-10 spot during flw a few years back at table rock.

I might be wrong but I thought it broke the state record. Either way it was huge

I sent a link of Mike's fish pic to Dwight Keefer in AZ. Dwight is a good friend of Ned Kehde's and was quite the stick in these parts many years ago. He replied:

"An 11# is a huge fish the Rock. He is approaching Frank Fensom’s lake record. What a joy to know there are that size of fish there.
Dwight"
Can't honestly say I have ever heard that name, or a weight, but I did ask Dwight if he knew the size of that fish. Have not heard back yet.

This is what I just received from Dwight via email:

"Frank caught it on a Bass Buster Twin Spin in winter out on a big flat he told me. I believe it weighed 11 lbs. 13 oz. I couldn’t find any info on it and Frank is deceased.

I was with Virgil during KU Spring Break in 1968 (3rd week in March I think). He went to the very back of Mill Creek and had me stand on the front seat of his “Big” Alumacraft boat with the tiller handle electric start 50 Merc. I could literally see a half dozen sows in the 6-7 lb. range just swimming around in 1-3 ft. of water. I caught a 7-13 at the back end mouth of the creek right before it went shallow in about 3 ft. of water.
I caught them up to 6.5 lbs. in Beaver where you could see them right where the water was running in the backs of major creeks.
Dwight"
I will check and see if Ned knows anyone who might have info on this. Link below is to a nice article about Dwight from Terry Battisti's Basss Fishing Archives (a great site if you enjoy reading about where we came from in fishing):
